Quantum of Solace

Two things today, new Bond trailer. I love it that this incarnation is less smooth international spy and more psychopathic murderer with anger issues.
Don't ask why this is more appealing to me. He's like the Hulk, his power comes from fits of extreme rage. Isn't it fun to live vicariously through a guy that will chase a guy 20 stories up across a crane, then jump a motorcycle onto a moving boat, just to stab the bad guy in the throat? Especially when I have a hissy fit at home, punch the wall and yell "take that nuclear scalding, but still frozen center, HOT POCKET!... dammit when are my hand bones so brittle?"




Remember the fake trailer, "Machete", from Grindhouse? That guy,Danny Trejo, is starring in this movie. Rob Zombie and QT getting together for this, I think. Pure awesomeness!

Why is she in position for this? The guy getting paid in the uniform playing left field should be getting this. It would have been interesting if he bothered to run a little to get it.

Bruce Campbell is 50. To bad the movie with Richard Gere never worked out, but here's Bubba HoTep. Yes, its in my DVD collection.

Christian Bale has been one of my favorite actors since he sliced up the screen, and pretty much everything else, in "American Psycho," so I am thrilled that he's been getting so much attention, acclaim and work following "Batman Begins."

Yes, I'm a little worried about fanboy franchise overload with "The Dark Knight" and "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins" but I don't think American can get too much of Christian, which is good because it sounds like he's about to land another huge project.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Christian is "Nottingham" director Ridley Scott's top choice to play Robin Hood in a new reinvention of the age-old tale where Robin is the villain and the Sheriff of Nottingham is the hero. Making me even more excited is that the Sheriff will be played by Russell Crowe.

Christian and Russell developed a brilliant chemistry as reluctant partners in "3:10 To Yuma" (seriously, rent it if you haven't!) that would perfectly suit these roles as well. Click here, for a huge article on the special fx, or lack of them.
