Is it just me or when you go to a public event, there is one asshole that just gets under your skin and ruins the night for you. It might be a crappy DJ at a bar, a retard behind you at a baseball game or a relative that loses his shit after having one too many. So we go to the Clearwater Threshers vs Dunedin Blue Jays. $4 each to get in and its also Thirsty Thursday. I got to have twin Blondes. I love a threesome. Hot out tonite, Blondes were nice and sweaty. 9pm and 81 degres outside. By the Tiki Hut there is the first place Rays losing to the ChiSox and the Lakers coming back over the Spurs.
Annoying Meth head behind us was yelling so much during the game. Someone finally asked if she was enjoying the game, then told her she was ruining it for everyone else. You think the people in her party would tell her to STFU. She had smoked so much I thought it was a teenage boy yelling at first. My wife was accosted by the mascot and the bastard knocked her beer over. Stupid shark, should have got me a new $2 beer. JK
After the game I thought I was hungry, so we pull into the BK drive-thru, which after ordering we changed our minds and backed up out of the driveway and left to scrounge on leftovers like scallop, shrimp risotto and stuffed eggplant at home. Good choice. Besides after all that beer a Diet Pepsi isn't going to cut it. Regular Pepsi is ok, but Diet is the taste of sadness.

Zaphod Beeblebrox as the lead... good choice! But how much is the movie not like the book. From what I've read, they don't match up. Does this mean the trailer is going to be better than the movie? Then its destiny leads to the Movie Preview awards so it can win for the best trailer of the worst movie??

Arena Football

You can definitely see some interesting things at a AFL game. It was almost the second quarter when we notice the guy in front of us is trimming his nails. Nothing like a fresh manicure during a football game! Only later did I notice the octagenarian with the Ninth Man shirt.
We found a DC favorite on our way in, 5 Guys. It was a little expensive for 2 burgers, fries ($20) and of course two Bud Lites ($15). Not bad when you consider my tickets were $16 each in the endzone. Plus, we had the added bonus of Santa in our section. This must be his off-season spot.

Saw Ironman again, still damn good second time around. then Speed Racer. It may not be well put together, kind of like Matrix 2 and 3, but its was damn fun to watch. Well except for the final race, where I needed a hit of acid to slow things down a bit. People hate it because of the screwed up story they are trying to tell. Don't bother yourself with that. If we all thought like the critics when we were nine, nobody would have watched the original Speed Racer, Scooby Doo or anything else. Just see it on the big screen. A small TV might give you seizures.

IronMan!

I finally got around to watching IronMan and it was pretty damn cool. Glad I saw that instead of SpeedRacer. I'll probably catch that this weekend as a double feature (triple, quad, quint??) depends on how much whisky I can bring in and how hungry I get. Saw great previews and so far I will absolutely see Batman and Indiana Jones, and not so sure about Hulk and the Will Smith anti hero that redeems himself. I forget the other previews that were shown because my mind had gone numb from all of the wrapper rustling, old people arguing and fat kid tilting my seat back as he slumbered by. Thankfully, it all quieted down when the movie started, after sitting there for 45 minutes subjected to commercials for Infiniti, Coke and crap shows on TNT, Clockwork Orange style. Then somebody walked in with a tiny baby. Somebody was going to die if they made any noise at that point. It all worked out fine. I celebrated that most excellent movie with a half gallon of beer and a pizza for myself.
